                Category: Project download area (non-GNU)
                Priority: 5 - Normal
                Severity: 2 - Minor
                  Status: None
                 Privacy: Public
             Assigned to: None
        Originator Email: address@hidden
        Platform Version: None
             Open/Closed: Open

Details:

The directory auto-indexing of the web server truncates
file names way too early inside the download area. As
typical file names often contain more than the project
name and version number, the information displayed becomes
pretty useless. For example, for the file

avr-libc-user-manual-1.4.2.tar.bz2

only

avr-libc-user-manual...

is displayed.

According to the Apache httpd docs, NameWidth=* should
allow to always display the full filename.
