Hi,
The problem seems to be with your network blocking port 2401.
I get this:
address@hidden:~$ telnet cvs.savannah.gnu.org 2401
Trying 199.232.41.69...
Connected to cvs.savannah.gnu.org.
Escape character is '^]'.
cvs [pserver aborted]: bad auth protocol start:
Connection closed by foreign host.
address@hidden:~$
CVS's pserver is required for access to Savannah's CVS repositories, for both
anonymous and login access.
