Details:

when I click on http://www.gnu.org/software/clisp/ in firefox, I get a dialog
box saying "you have chosen to open <blank> which is a application/x-httpd-php
what should Firefox do with this file?" -- instead of the file being shown in
the window.
the index.html is indeed a symlink to index.php.
