Details:

GNU Emacs is getting close to switching from CVS to bzr, see <a
href="http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-devel/2009-01/msg00575.html";
>this message</a> and the <a
href="http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-devel/2009-01/threads.html#00575";
>thread</a> in which it is embedded for details. (The thread is huge, though,
and there's no need for you to read it; I'm happy to relay the important
information over here.)

I'm not quite sure what the status of bzr on Savannah is. On the one hand,
there's <a href="https://savannah.gnu.org/support/?106417"; >ticket
#106417</a>, which implies that bzr on Savannah is still in beta? On the
other hand, bzr is not mentioned at all in the <a
href="http://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/FaQ";>FAQ</a>.

bzr 1.11 is now released; is Savannah on that? If not, can it be? Is there
anything else that would need to be done on the Savannah side for Emacs to
switch over?

We're still doing some test conversions, but things are looking good so far.
I think soon we're going to schedule a "flag day" for the switchover. Among
other things, that will mean the CVS repository goes into read-only mode,
which is something we'll need to coordinate with you.

Any other issues we should be thinking of? Or are you basically ready when
we are?

Thanks,
-Karl
