Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.


The use of OOo2 may be problematic because of the Java dependency. This may
mean that you need the (proprietary) JDK from Sun to make it work properly.
Check http://www.fsf.org/news/open-office-java.html for further information.

Can you tell us if your documents can be read with a Java-less OpenOffice, or
with a free implementation of Java?


Note that Savannah supports projects of the Free Software movement, not
projects of the Open Source movement.

We are careful about ethical issues and insist on producing software that is
not dependent on proprietary software.

While Open Source as defined by its founders means something pretty close to
Free Software, it's frequently misunderstood.  For more information, please
see http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-software-for-freedom.html.

Hence why we insist on this Java issue.


I'm getting OOo2 to check your work. By looking at them in text mode, though,
I didn't copyright and license notices.

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the mBSD,
please place copyright notices and a copy of the license after the title page
of each work.


If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide us
with an URL to an updated version of your project.  Upon review, we will
reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.
