  Description: The Time-Frequency Toolbox (TFTB) is a library of about
100 GNU Octave/Matlab (R) scripts, developed for data analysis using
time-frequency distributions (TFDs). It includes signal generators,
calculation codes of various TFDs, and several tools (including
visualization) for post-processing the TFDs. Each function of the
toolbox has an online help and is documented in a reference
manual. Several demonstrations are also available.
History: The TFTB has been distributed since 1997 for Matlab (R) only,
and as a shareware under a non-free licence. Recent modifications make
the TFTB usable with both GNU Octave and Matlab (R). The authors and
their funding institutions gave their agreement to distribute the new
sources of TFTB under the terms of the GPL licence.
Future plans: We ask to Savannah to host the new sources of the TFTB.
The objective is to facilitate the maintenance of the code by multiple
developers through CVS. If Savannah accepts to host TFTB, it will
become the central distribution web site. Our old web sites will
either remain in sync by some automatic mirroring schemes,
point to sources on Savannah or be switched off.
