  SDL_perl provides a perl-ish interface to the Simple DirectMedia Layer
(http://www.libsdl.org) for Perl.  It also contains an cooperative set of
OpenGL bindings as well.  It is widely distributed in GNU/Linux
distributions, and is used by the game Frozen Bubble
(http://frozen-bubble.org).  SDL_perl is released under the LGPL, as is the
libSDL itself. The current distribution is available from CPAN, and can be
found at http://search.cpan.org/~dgoehrig/SDL_Perl-2.1.3/

Other Software Required:

  SDL_perl depends on perl, and libSDL both of which are available on typical
desktop installations.  It has options support for smpeg, SDL_mixer,
SDL_image, SDL_gfx, SDL_ttf, MESA, GL, GLU. All of which are available under
free licesnses.
