Description:

  Hello,
My project is to create sofware programs for users to ease their life in
Linux; I have heard many, many questions about backups, virus scanners and
there are lots of repeated questions.
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=83110&page=3&pp=15
This is my thread with the 4 software programs I wish to currently develop, I
may later add more. They consist of
1) a GUI to ClamAV, including a progress bar. Doubles as a shell script and a
nautilus-script.
2) a Questions and Answers (Q&A), with answers to common questions like CD
ripping, a replacement to Up2date (Fedora users), ATi / Nvidia drivers, NTFS
mounting, etc.
3) a Backup manager, to automatically backup files. Includes GUI configure
tool.
4) audio-convert-mod : This is a nautilus taken from the audio-convert
project and modded to allow mp3 > mp3 convertion, file renaming, and more.
These projects use php as the shell parser and zenity to display X windows
and notifications.
Thank you,
Firewing1

Other Software Required:
------------------------
  /usr/bin/php (part of php package)
/usr/bin/zenity (part of Gnome-Utils)
/usr/bin/clamscan
/usr/bin/freshclam (both part of clamav)
