==== Description: ====
The aim of this software is to be an useful, powerful and stable software for
all people that want to learn, understand and study how a
conceptual operating systems works, in particular from the point of
view of the scheduler of processes. This software provides a graphic and
textual simulation of processes and resources in a multitasking computer. Its
aim is to study how processes execute using different scheduling and
assignment policies. The user can see:
For each process, its actual state.
For each resource, the processes blocked and which are using it.
The graph of allocation of the resources.
The graph representing the scheduling function.
The ready queue.
The list of processes terminated.
The statistics of the simulation.
It supports multi language.
You can find source code, binary :
http://rainbow3.altervista.org/rainbow_all_2.9.16.zip . It is under GNU GPL
Licence. It runs over GNU/Linux, Windows, and any other with a JRE_1.6
installed.
==== Other Software Required: ====
This software is written in Java, with using Infonode
(http://www.infonode.net). (GPL Licence).
