==== Description: ====
Syster is software for monitoring and reporting system availability. Syster
runs continuously on a monitored system and periodically performs tests of
various system facilities. The results of these tests are stored in files
and/or via syslog(). Syster tests filesystem I/O capability, networking
functionality, memory subsystem, and process creation. New tests can easily
be added to Syster. Syster is written in C and Bourne shell. Syster is Free
Software, Licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2, or, at your
option, any later version. The system testing facility of Syster is
essentially complete and is currently in alpha testing. The findings
reporting programs are in the late design phase. They are expected to be
ready in August 2007. The source code is located in:
http://netmq.org/syster/

Please contact me with any questions about Syster. Thank you.
