----
==== Description: ====
This is a collection of four libraries which can be used to build
foreign function call interfaces in embedded interpreters.
The four packages are:
avcall - calling C functions with variable arguments
vacall - C functions accepting variable argument prototypes
trampoline - closures as first-class C functions
callback - closures with variable arguments as first-class C functions
(a reentrant combination of vacall and trampoline)
==== Other Comments: ====
ffcall has been developed as a part of CLISP and until now has been living in
the CLISP CVS repository under clisp/clisp/ffcall:
$ cvs -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/clisp login
$ cvs -z3 -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/clisp co -P
clisp/clisp/ffcall
you can get the cvs tree via rsync as described in
http://sourceforge.net/docs/E04/#rsync
$ rsync -av rsync://clisp.cvs.sourceforge.net/cvsroot/clisp/clisp/ffcall/* .
