==== Description: ====
MCSim is a simulation package which allows you to design 
your own models (eventually dynamic, via ordinary differential equations) and
to perform simple simulations, Monte Carlo 
(stochastic) simulations, or Bayesian statistical inference 
through Markov Chain Monte Carlo simulations.

The package is written in standard C, and we provide the
source code. MCSim now uses routines from the GNU Scientific Library. MCSim
is primarily intended to run on GNU/Linux systems.

- Required: standard GNU compilation and documentation 
  (makeinfo) tools.
- Required: GNU scientific library.
- optional: texi2html, texi2dvi, dvi2ps
  for html, pdf and postcript versions of the documentation
  (dvi2ps and texi2dvi depend on TEX, which has its own 
  license I think)
- optional: XWindows, Tcl/Tk (TclLicence) and gnuplot to 
  use the xmcsim GUI.
