==== Description: ====
Zutils is a collection of utilities for dealing with any combination of
compressed and non-compressed files transparently. The currently supported
compressors are gzip, bzip2 and lzip. The currently provided utilities are
zcat, zcmp, zdiff and zgrep.

All the utilities in zutils are shell scripts.

IMHO it is better for users and distros a single set of utilities with
support for several compressors instead of every compressor distributing its
own tool for its own format.

Zutils has no build dependencies.

The runtime dependencies are the supported compressors:
Gzip GPL http://www.gnu.org/software/gzip/
Bzip2 BSD-style license http://www.bzip.org/
