Follow-up Comment #6, task #11391 (project administration):
Hi Karl, Thanks for looking at my project.
1) These are indeed oversights: no problem to change to GNU/Linux. Even the
"Bumpix Live Linux". It is my system, a customization of Debian GNU/Linux, and
the user gets to see GNU/Linux on the startup screen. So the name is really a
misnomer and I'll change it.
2) Source files for the documentation can easily get the license statement.
Generated HTML: I guess it should be possible by including it in the template.
Do you sugggest to add the full licensing clause there as well?
For scripts/* we can add the licensing too. Some of these scripts however are
meant to show up in the tutorial, and I may opt for a shorter formulation
there so as to not distract the first time user.
A README might then specify the longer statement, just as for images.
3) How do we continue from here? Should I prepare and upload a fixed .tar.gz?
I hope that if the project gets approved, I can transfer the whole SVN
repository to Savannah, so as to not lose the history. The repository contains
some more files that are not in the .tar.gz distribution: source files for
generating our web site, for generating the documentation, some developer and
administrative tools. I will already check these too for consisting GNU/Linux
naming and license statements.
