Title escape sequence

When a program running within a screen session issues the <esc> k sequence,
it can change the title of the current screen window. Is there any way to
disable this feature? I have to deal with a closed-source program that
constantly changes my window titles to nonsense. Disabling termcap
reporting of this feature isn't really a solution for me, because the
program is hard-coded to output the sequence and doesn't check termcap.
