When I create a split screen with 'C-a S', the
terminal splits fine, but there is nothing in the new window, no prompt,
nothing. C-a a shows one (original) screen.
I'm using Suse 10 Linux on a BenQ r55 with KDE. The
terminal I'm using is a kde konsole. I always used to use splitvt,
(seemlessly), but unfortunately am unable to get that to work, so I've
turned to screen, but this too is proving troublesome. Any helpful
advice would be appreciated here - TIA.
