Attaching to multiple sessions at the same time via split windows / tabs

Hello,

Whilst it is possible to re-attach multiple screens inside of one
"super"screen session, it can get rather messy.
The "super"screen will need different keybindings from the "inside" screens
in order to allow you to control them both.

In your case, I would either:
- restore the screens in separate terminal sessions
Or:
- use a tabbed terminal emulator (konsole or gnome-terminal) and re-attach
each session in a different tab.

Personally, I use separate teminals with separate screen sessions for each
activity and open as many screens in each session as I need.
Using a hard status line and naming screen 0 after the name of the session
allows me to find my way when working with multiple sessions.

This set-up also allows me to easily resize screen sessions without
influencing others.

Regards,

Kit

Say I have 4 sessions that have been detached. Once I get back to my
machine, I would like to be able to see all 4 of them as split windows once
I reattach (or tabs).

Is this possible?

In all my research, I have come across screen splitting tips, but that
always creates a *new* session and does not allow me to reattach to an
existing session.

Thoughts / suggestions?

Ideally:

   1. Enter command "blah"
   2. 4 split windows are setup; each reattached to one of my 4 previous
   sessions.
   3. If split cannot be accomplished in this manner, I'd be OK with tabs as
   well.
