Screen version 4.04.00 (GNU) 19-Jun-16, under ArchLinux
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
SYSSCREENRC=''
hardstatus string "%{= KW}%n %h%{w}%<%= %-w%{ck}%n %t%?(%u)%?%{-}%+w
%{c}%H %d %D %c'%s"
Multibyte characters appear correctly in windows; but when they appear
in my status line, i get the replacement character (), and the status
line wraps, causing the screen to scroll, making a big mess.
On a previous OS installation with the same .screenrc, and same locale
info this did not happen, and multibyte chars appeared correctly.
