The message really means that the STREAMTUNER_LOCAL_ROOT variable isn't
set. I suppose you're messing up somewhere. Type eitheir:

        $ export STREAMTUNER_LOCAL_ROOT=/mnt/mp3
        $ streamtuner

or:

        $ STREAMTUNER_LOCAL_ROOT=/mnt/mp3 streamtuner
