What version of stumpwm are you running? I'm running sbcl 1.0.29 with
:sb-unicode and stumpwm from the git repository and it works. However,
the actual character prints as a question mark. It doesn't hang,
though.
C-t : (coerce '(#\u2211) 'string) RET
is what I did.
