That's also how the HDF5 and Lisp serialization works.
Output will be all the ivars unless you override a
-{lisp,hdf5}Out{Deep,Shallow}: method. Only in the case of [shallow]
HDF5 compound types (e.g. you made a data frame in R and saved it),
will you get get the entire record loaded.
