Journal of Artificial Societies and Social Simulation
<http://www.soc.surrey.ac.uk/JASSS/JASSS.html>
The first issue of the third volume of the Journal of Artificial
Societies and Social Simulation was published on Monday, January
31st.
The new issue includes two peer reviewed papers, on 'Agent-based
modelling of collective identity: testing constructivist theory' and
on 'Asynchronous Time Evolution in an Artificial Society Model' and,
in the Forum section, a thought-provoking paper on can there be a
'Liberal Order for Software Agents?' and a detailed account of
using the Matlab package for teaching social simulation. There are
also four book reviews.
The next issue of JASSS is due at the end of March. Submissions for
that issue are welcome. Because JASSS is distributed over the World
Web Wide and all editorial operations use the internet, we can
achieved much faster turn-round from first submission to acceptance
than most conventional paper journals.
Some readers may not know of the email distribution list, simsoc,
which distributes news about conferences, workshops, and other
information related to research on artificial societies and social
simulation. To join this list, send a message to
address@hidden containing only the message:
join simsoc First_Name Surname
(substituting your own name, of course). Joining the list is free,
there are no commercial advertisements and it is relatively free of
spam.
Below you will find the contents of the new issue.
