Bugfixes and improvements

To the Swarm team:

since Swarm-960513 was released, several bugfixes and improvements have 
been supplied through messages posted to this list.

In fairness to new users who download Swarm long after its release date 
and who join this conversation "in the middle", I believe bugfixes and 
improvements should also be posted to (accessible from) the Swarm release 
pages on the web (with a description of what they do) so that anyone can 
upgrade their Swarm to include all updates.

This would also aid those who need to re-install Swarm for whatever 
reason.
