Java-basd GUIs

Hi all,

Perhaps as an exercise in futility, I decided to mess about with a program
which ran fine, but for which I had a lot of input variables--some of which
are arrays for which I'd like to be able to change values (and size). I
didn't think I could do this using probes, so I started thinking about
developing a Java-based GUI to set input parameters. As a start, I've
created a Java inner class for my GUISwarm which displays a Java Swing GUI
with a slider with which I can set the display frequency!!! (All right, at
this point it's a lot of work with not much to show for it--but I tell
myself its a learning experience.) Having gone where I probably shouldn't,
I've run into a problem. The simulation still runs fine, but when I stop it
and quit using the simulation Control Panel, the Control Panel disappears
(as it used to, of course) but the Java-based GUI and the other conventional
Swarm graphical windows (e.g., an EZGraph, a couple of ZoomRasters) remain.
I can close the GUI with my mouse, but the Swarm windows are "frozen"--can't
move 'em, can't close 'em. I'm running Windows NT 4, and I can close them
simultaneously by using the Windows Task Manager to "end task" on one of the
windows. Any ideas why all the windows are not closing when the program
terminates?

Thanks,

Buck
