warnings on compile

I am trying to compile the heatbugs demo and it will compile and run but
I am getting size and type warnings as follows


/usr/bin/ld: warning: type and size of dynamic symbol

/usr/bin/ld: warning: type and size of dynamic symbol

/usr/bin/ld: warning: type and size of dynamic symbol
`__objc_class_name_Grid2d' are not defined
/usr/bin/ld: warning: type and size of dynamic symbol
`__objc_class_name_Object2dDisplay' are not defined
/usr/bin/ld: warning: type and size of dynamic symbol
`__objc_class_name_Value2dDisplay' are not defined

is this normal or is there something I can do to fix this 
 
I used swarm-2002-05-14 from the website with JDK 1.4, BLT2.4,
HDF5-1.4.4 and gcc 2.96 to compile.
