[Swftools-common] Build error - libpdf.a

I'm getting the following error trying to build the latest dev. snapshot:

make[1]: *** No rule to make target `../libpdf.a', needed by `gfx.so'.  Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory 
`/home/jbaack/swftools/swftools-2009-02-07-1827/lib/python'
make: *** [all] Error 2


The Makefile in lib/pdf shows only

all install uninstall clean libpdf:


This is on a new Ubuntu 8.10 install so maybe I'm just missing something.
