better name for 'before_item'

Hello,

There is a type that holds what is before the first @item
in the formats with @item, for example in 

 @itemize
 
 Something

 @item in item
 @end itemize

it holds an empty line, a paragraph with 'Something' and another
empty line.  This type is called 'before_item'.  Do you have a better
name?  If not, what about naming the corresponding xml element
 <beforeitem>
