makeinfo vs. texi2any vs. ...

Patrice,

Is there any difference in behavior between running tp as "makeinfo" or
as "texi2any"?  Or as any other arbitrary command name?

What I see from the sources is that libraries are loaded differently
depending on whether $0 =~ /\.pl$/, which is fine, but I'm not sure if
there is anything else.  We should document the answer.  (And I hope the
answer is "there is no difference".)
