        * tramp-smb.el (tramp-smb-handle-substitute-in-file-name):
        Removed.  The default handler is good enough for us now.
        (tramp-smb-advice-PC-do-completion): Advice for
        `PC-do-completion'.  Corrects a the inconvenient usage of
        `substitute-in-file-name' there.
        
        * tramp.texi (External transfer methods): Remind the application
        of "$$" in share names of the `smb' method.
