No problem here. I vaguely remember to have seen it as well a while ago,
but it seems to be fixed now.
Does it also happen if you use another method, like ssh? Does it also
happen, when you call "emacs -Q"?
If it still happens for you, I would like to get a trace, produced after
setting tramp-verbose to 6.
