If the mountain won't come to Muhammad, Muhammad must go to the mountain.. It's
easy to be wise after the event. There's more than one way to skin a cat. Nor
pot to piss out in. (variant of neither a pot to piss in nor a window to throw
it out.) He who sleeps forgets his hunger.
Trouble shared is trouble halved. It's a good horse that never stumbles. He who
laughs last laughs longest.
Long experience of someone or something can make one so aware of the faults as
to be scornful. When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras. A poor
workman blames his tools. Heaven protects children, sailors and drunken men.
Faint heart ne'er won fair lady. Looking at a horse's mouth is one classic way
to judge it's health You lose some... and you win some... and some you don't
even bother to play. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Life's a bitch and then you die I.e., One is often better off keeping his mouth
shut.
Two things prolong your life: A quiet heart and a loving wife. Money talks.
Have not want not. said by Lee Field Walstad Kill two birds with one stone
