Hallo all,
the long summer break is over now ;-) and some changes on the scons
build system have happened last night.
You will notice that there is a new directory "Config", which stores
all the build configuration files.
The oldest of them, "board.cf"g has now removed all the long and nasty
"no_apps" and "no_xmpls" lists, which are replaced now by an entry
"provides". Here is a list of all implemented/available
hardware/software features listed (e.g. trx, led, hif, ...).
The "provides" entry is the counterpart of the "requires" entry in
examples.cfg and applications.cfg. An application or an example is
build, whenever "requires" is a subset of "provides". Additionally,
some applications will not run on certain boards due to a lack of
ressources. Therefore the entry "excludes" in
examples.cfg/applications.cfg is used. It lists all the boards
explicitely, where the application does not run/compile, even if the
subset condition is true.
Best regards, Axel
