[UTUTO-GNU] Distribution Packaging Collaboration

Hi All!

My name is Abdur-Rahman Morgan. I have been using gNewSense and BLAG for
about several months and I enjoy both distributions. I notice that both
distros carry their own variety of packages. Is there any method by
which both distros in addition with Ututo, could combine efforts for:

1). Freedom Verification. I see that gNewSense is currently actively
working on this and think that it is important for all the GNU/Linux
Distributions to maintain that each package is in fact free. Is there
any method by which we could make sure at least all the distributions
have at least all the same packages because I see that some programs
that are available in gNewSense are not available in BLAG. I have not
used Ututo as of yet, but imagine that it will have some difference as well.

*Would it be correct to say that all the packages in the Free Software
Directory are considered free and that all other packages would just
need to be verified. Also, in our package management systems, would we
be able add a method to categorize packages by their license
specifically, so that we know that only Free Licenses are in the
distributions.

Mi nombre es Abdur-Rahman Morgan. He estado utilizando el gNewSense y
BLAG por alrededor de varios meses y yo gozamos de ambas distribuciones.
Noto que ambos distros llevan su propia variedad de paquetes. Hay
cualquier método por para el cual ambos distros además con Ututo,
podrían combinar los esfuerzos:

1). Verificación de la libertad. Veo que el gNewSense está trabajando
actualmente activamente en esto y pienso que es importante que todas las
distribuciones de GNU/Linux mantengan que cada paquete está de hecho
libre. Hay cualquier método por el cual podríamos cerciorarnos de por lo
menos todas las distribuciones tener por lo menos todos los mismos
paquetes porque veo que algunos programas que están disponibles en
gNewSense no estar disponible en BLAG. No he utilizado Ututo en fecha
todavía, sino me imagino que tendrá cierta diferencia también. *Would
esté correcto decir que todos los paquetes en el directorio libre del
software están considerados libremente y que el resto de los paquetes
acaban de necesitar ser verificado. También, en nuestros sistemas de
gerencia del paquete, podríamos agregamos un método para categorizar los
paquetes por su licencia específicamente, de modo que sepamos que
solamente las licencias libres están en las distribuciones.
