URL: <http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?27496> Summary: WeeChat does not handle unknown commands entered into input according to rfc Project: WeeChat Submitted by: None Submitted on: mar 22 sep 2009 10:40:37 UTC Category: commands Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: irc protocol Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: address@hidden Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: other IRC nick: Erus _______________________________________________________ Details: RFC and every other app states that when a command unknown to the client is entered by a user it should be sent to the irc server un modified. The irc server is responsible for handling unknown commands and providing the error message for them. Not doing this breaks support for anyone who makes command aliases in the servers config files. Not just /ns or /nickserv, but other command aliases. Like the ones on my server with common gline reasons and times. (/gbanevade /gspam /gdisobay etc...) (Sry for pasting this raw from an irssi bug list) _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?27496> _______________________________________________ Message posté via/par Savannah http://savannah.nongnu.org/
