Subject: [XBoard-devel] CVS Questions

Ok, questions about our CVS repository...
Are the files currently tagged with any particular keyword
substitution? I thought I checked correctly and they all seemed to be
tagged as binary (-kb). But when I check anything out it all comes
across as ascii. This has been corrupting the binaries (like the
bitmaps for winboard), causing the resource compiler to fail. Now
experimenting with Eclipse, which has nice CVS integration, I hadn't
been able to figure out why everything was seen as ascii. In the
process I somewhat unintentially changed the substitution mode for one
bitmap in the winboard directory. How do you or how should we be
checking things out, forcing binary mode? If nothing is currently
tagged for any particular mode, should we? Or should it all be
controlled at the client end, using a cvswrappers file?
Sorry for my confusion, if I'm just missing something very fundamental
about CVS I apologize.
Mark
