Hello, I've had a problem using parted 1.4.5. It said me that I was found a bug and the message it gave me was: Assertion (walk-> geom.length > 63 * 5) at disc.c:1008 in function _disk_check_sanity()

Hi all. I'm trying to downsize my 7200MB /home (logical) partition by 1GB on my thinkpad 600E (10050MB drive) in order to create a new 1GB partition in the space made available. Unfortunately parted

This is weird! Unfortunately, sfdisk isn't saying much - it isn't giving the start of the partition blocks (only cylinders). Can you run sfdisk, like this: Thanks! Andrew Clausen

Hmmm. Parted creates the Apple_Void partitions to fill in unused parts of the partition map, to preserve the partition numbers. What should it do? Is the current behaviour bad? Does it anything choke
