Thanks todd, but with this option I see the exact behaviour. The problem, as I verified is that the -rTAG1::TAG2 option will not output any revisions when TAG1 and TAG2 are not "on the same branch".

That's interesting -- revision numbers should start at 1. Don't. Revision numbers are for internal CVS use. You should never care what they are. You said the magic word: tag. You should *tag* the fil

You can't, and you don't want to. The revision numbers are for CVS internal use. Use symbolic tags to associate externally meaningful revision numbers. -Larry Jones I think we need to change the rule
