    The problem with using NS is that NS is limited, and unfixable.

That is a consequence of being nonfree.  If it were free software,
you could change it.

Of course, having source code is an important issue because lack of it
it causes problems in practice.  If it had no practical effect on
users, it would not raise an issue.

However, the issue it raises goes deeper than the direct practical
effects, because it is an issue of good and evil.  Denying source code
is one of the ways that proprietary developers keep users divided and
helpless.  It is a method they use to get unjust power.  Being
helpless is inconvenient, but it's much more than that.
