The icons shouldn't be a big problem at all. It might even be worth
considering to switch to the OSX icon set, which has higher
resolutions (128x128) although it might not look as good in low res.

Passing  'INSTALL="install -p"' to "make" seems to be more tricky, as
it is normally the user that runs make. I am not sure if automake has
support for preserving file dates. A quick glance over the manual
didn't show anything relating to the issue. In the worst case, you'll
have to keep that in your .spec file.
