Hello,

I have just began a French dictionary for aspell. It is based on the
ispell dictionary, and can be find at the address :
http://dept-info.labri.u-bordeaux.fr/~vanicat/aspell/
(it's francais-0.01.tar.gz that is useful)

I have general question about aspell:
in French there is accent over certain letter (àéèê and others) and
those accent are difficult to type, so a lot of French don't type
them (and use the normal letter instead). So a do want of aspell it
find the for me, even if there is many of them in a word.
and there is the problem:
if i have "été" and "eue" in a dictionary, with pronunciation rule
giving
été -> ETE
eue -> EE
he will propose me "et" but not "été", even if for French people, it's
the opposite that is natural. Is there any way to make aspell give me
the correct answer? As a French i would naturally :
- strip the accent
- find words that match
- put back the accent
or do not count accent modification in the distance between word (or
count them less than other transformation).

Remark:
 For the French case, i don't know if this case is common. Their is
 many word with many accent, but not many of them having a near match
 like that

Remark 2:
 why evalue give as correction évalué and évalue since it seem to be
 in the same case?
