Yes and no.
Instead of the variable ispell-really-aspell, I have
ispell-really-recent-aspell-p, which tests if ispell
is a version of Aspell greater than 0.50, and
ispell-really-aspell-with-utf-8-support-p, which tests
if ispell is a version of Aspell greater than 0.60. I
chose 0.50 because it was the lowest version that I
knew supported the "encoding" option; I wasn't sure
about Aspell 0.33.
The function ispell-send-replacement was not included,
mainly because I didn't take a close look at
ispell.el-aspell-0.1.diff until today. :-)
I can tweak my patch to include the features from
ispell.el-aspell-0.1.diff, if you like.
