Ok thanks for the answer. I don't know much about this, but I think the
problem is related to the 'xdvi-jump-to-line*'-functions in
'xdvi-search.el' I'm using xdvik-22.84.5 and xdvi-search.el revision 1.34.
The reason I think so is because after having replaced the relative paths
in the '%%% TeX-master: "..."' declarations with absolute paths it works
(if I use 'xdvi-jump-to-line-fullpath'
