Do `display-mm-width' and `display-mm-height' now return correct
values? Because on my computer previews were displayed with a font
size too small compared to the size of the default face and setting
`display-mm-dimensions-alist' helped. I still don't know if that's
the problem in your case as well because you haven't provided a
screenshot.
