How about an RSS feed for each of the entries on the audio-video website? A feed that is updated with each new entry to the audio or video collection?
I was thinking that this would more easily allow users to subscribe to the site and keep up with new and old recordings in their favorite RSS program -- Miro, Thunderbird, etc.
I don't know what software the audio-video.gnu.org website is built with, so I can't suggest something appropriate to use to assist in reading a directory of files and building an RSS feed from that. But perhaps the information on the audio-video.gnu.org website could be used to build a good RSS feed with descriptions and pointers to attachments (the audio/video files you're already hosting).
If this feed already exists, please link it to the HEAD element of the http://audio-video.gnu.org/video/ and http://audio-video.gnu.org/audio/ webpages so it can be auto-discovered with browser RSS buttons and the like.
Thanks for considering this feature.
