OK to apply. So far, I haven't yet branched (nor even checked with Jim whether merges are allowed on main), but all patches in place at the moment are good candidates for 2.68.1 this week.
If I get time to figure out the AC_USE_SYSTEM_EXTENSIONS issues, then we'll have the first case of a patch appropriate for 2.69 but not the maint branch, at which point I'll have to make sure the branching scheme is in place.
