It's not that autoconf 2.13 makes it less regenerable, it's just that it's
not available in current versions of our distribution. And if at all
possible, the rpm spec files of our packages regenerate configure so as to
adapt to changes in the build environment.

OK, this seems to need a level of autoconf and m4 knowledge that is beyond
mine. So I guess I'll just have to wait until somebody else does these
adaptions.
