    With this change, the time required to execute the test case
    'testsuite-recheck-speed.sh' has dropped as follows:
    
    + Slow Debian one-core machine: from 6 minutes to 40 seconds

    Timing before the optimizations implemented by following patches:

        - testsuite-recheck-speed.sh: ~ 6 minutes
        - testsuite-summary-speed.sh: ~ 3 minutes and half
