[avr-chat] Linux winavr equivalent build script?

Hi all:

I remember a while ago there was talk of someone generating some build
scripts to make the equivalent of winavr under *nix (ie, the same
version & patch level). I can't seem to find the mail with a link; did
anything come of it, or should I go ahead and build my own?

Also, to the winavr maintainers, is it possible to generate a separate
"source" distribution containing just the patches without having to d/l
and install the entire winavr distribution?
