Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> double-click System Icon ->
click Performance Tab -> click Virtual Memory Button -> click "let me
select my own Virtual Memory settings" button. Then bump up the min/max
settings. The values are based on how much RAM you have, but if you
have plenty of Harddrive space left, double what it says you have now.

Hope this helps. I use Win2000 myself, but I just happen to have a copy
of W98 on my portable.
