yes, i found this linker flag for a few minutes ago too
but is it normal that this lib is so big?

Has to do with the new sample makefile, (*sigh*) 

Remark out this line:

# Floating point printf version (requires -lm below)
LDFLAGS +=  -Wl,-u,vfprintf -lprintf_flt

to this

# Floating point printf version (requires -lm below)
#LDFLAGS +=  -Wl,-u,vfprintf -lprintf_flt

And that should solve your problem
